The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Bangladesh has risen to Tk 113.61 per kg for October 2023, up from Tk 107.01 in September. This increase means retail customers will pay an additional Tk 6.6 per kg. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices. A 12kg LPG cylinder will now cost Tk 1,363, including VAT, up from Tk 1,284. This increase means customers using 12kg cylinders will spend an additional Tk 79 for cooking purposes. Prices of other LPG cylinder sizes, ranging from 5.5kg to 45kg, will also increase proportionally. The price of “autogas” used for vehicles will rise from Tk 58.87 to Tk 62.54 per liter, an increase of Tk 3.67 per liter. The price of locally produced LPG remains unchanged.
