Agricultural entrepreneurship development training programs were conducted in Bagerhat, Bangladesh, by the United Commercial Bank Ltd (UCBL). Around 260 agricultural entrepreneurs from nine districts participated. The event was inaugurated by the former Agriculture Secretary and Vice-Chairman of the BASIS Foundation, who emphasized the importance of transforming agriculture into a viable business despite the inherent challenges.
UCBL’s Deputy Managing Director, mentioned their special project, “Bhorosar Notun Janala,” aimed at providing guidance and assistance to agricultural entrepreneurs, making it easier for them to access loans and contribute to the growth of commercial agriculture. These initiatives underscore the commitment to fostering agricultural entrepreneurship and enhancing the sustainability of this vital sector in Bangladesh.
