The International Solar Association (ISA) is assisting Bangladesh in crafting a ten-year solar roadmap to facilitate the transition to renewable energy sources. This initiative involves a comprehensive assessment of various scenarios for widespread solar adoption.
Bangladesh, which currently holds the position of vice-president country for the Asia and Pacific Region within ISA, has consistently supported the organization’s efforts in the realm of clean energy transition through solar solutions. ISA offers nine comprehensive programs spanning sectors like agriculture, health, transportation, and green hydrogen, all geared toward harnessing the potential of solar power.
ISA Director General highlighted Bangladesh’s promotion of solar energy applications, particularly on rooftops. The collaboration between ISA and Bangladesh aims to establish a portfolio of viable solar projects to attract investments and expedite progress toward energy access, climate change mitigation, and the goals of the Paris Agreement.
