The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is launching its November drive to provide subsidized essential commodities to approximately 10 million families. Commerce Minister will inaugurate the program and smart family card distribution in Dhaka.
The initiative includes soybean oil, rice, and lentils at subsidized rates, with limited sugar available at Tk 70 per kg in select areas. Cardholders can buy 5 kg of rice at Tk 30 per kg and other items monthly. Sugar is priced at Tk 70 per kg, lentils at Tk 60 per kg, and soybean oil at Tk 100 for 2 liters. TCB emphasizes offering affordable prices compared to the retail market. Smart card distribution starts today, with warnings against irregularities during sales. The TCB is fully prepared for a smooth November drive, ensuring accessibility to essential commodities.
