Md. Touhidul Alam Khan has assumed the role of Managing Director and CEO at National Bank Limited, effective January 25th, as confirmed by the bank’s press release. Formerly the Additional Managing Director at The Premier Bank, Khan’s banking career began in 1993 at Agrani Bank. Over his 31-year career, he held various senior management positions in institutions like Prime Bank, Bank Asia, Modhumoti Bank, and Standard Bank.
He holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Dhaka and has played pivotal roles such as Chief Business Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer. Notably, he led Bangladesh’s first Shariah-compliant syndication deal and orchestrated the largest syndication term loan. Additionally, Khan is the first Certified Sustainability Reporting Assurer (CSRA) in Bangladesh.
