Tk68,208 was collected in just 52 minutes for a local cola brand’s Mojo campaign supporting Palestine. This amount surged to Tk87,024 within an hour, with a total of 18,816 bottles sold. The brand’s sales have increased by 130%-140% since the conflict in the Middle East began, leading to a 6% rise in market share. A total of Tk1.5 crore has been contributed to aid Palestinians affected by the war, with Tk1 crore from company funds and Tk50 lakh from sales. Efforts are being made to remit funds in Qatari or Turkish currencies due to a shortage of dollars in Bangladesh. Local businesses and restaurants have shown solidarity with Palestinians by boycotting Western products and endorsing local cola brands. Major players in the non-alcoholic beverage market in Bangladesh are experiencing growth, with an anticipated increase in annual demand for ready-to-drink beverages.
