Banglalink recorded remarkable revenue growth in 2023, marking a decade-high figure fueled by a substantial increase in data revenue. The company’s revenue surged by an impressive 14.4% year-on-year to Tk 6,150 crore, as reported in Veon Ltd’s fourth-quarter earnings data. Notably, Banglalink’s data revenue saw a remarkable 25% year-on-year growth. This growth reflects Banglalink’s robust expansion strategy, including significant expansion of its 4G customer base, effective implementation of the DO1440 strategy, and extensive network enhancements nationwide. With a customer base of 43.5 million and an expanded network coverage, Banglalink’s 4G user base reached 20 million subscribers, experiencing a 24.5% growth. The success is attributed to digital services like the MyBL Super App, Toffee, and Bip, with the MyBL Super App boasting nearly 8 million monthly active users, representing a 36.4% year-on-year growth in the fourth quarter of 2023.
