To support locally produced goods by female entrepreneurs and develop a market for their “Made in Bangladesh” goods, BRAC Bank has organized an exhibition. About eighty-five female entrepreneurs from all over the nation displayed a wide variety of their items in booths at the exposition.
The TARA Uddokta Mela fair showcased a variety of products, including boutique goods, hand-stitched apparel, handmade crafts, clay and jute items, processed leather, Jamdani and Moslin outfits, bamboo and rattan items, organic skincare, and food. The fair also featured a candy floss machine, henna festival, free mental health workshops, check-ups, and an iftar and evening food court. However, The bank is offering support for digital payments, such as QR codes, to encourage women businesses to participate in a digital environment. Customers can receive a 15% discount on purchases made through QR codes.
