Grameenphone’s startup innovation platform, GP Accelerator, kicked off its Jelay Jelay Smart Uddyokta Bootcamps in Mymensingh. Designed to nurture the potential of young entrepreneurs, especially university students and aspiring youth, the boot camp aims to enhance their skills and provide guidance in various aspects of entrepreneurship, including upskilling, networking, and funding.
With around 300 entrepreneurs participating, the regional boot camp in Mymensingh marks the beginning of a series of such events planned in 20 locations across the country. The programme held at a city hotel, saw the presence of notable figures including the mayor.
The boot camp comprised two main components. The first part focused on a workshop covering topics such as design thinking, market research, financial modelling, and creating a pitch deck for investment. The second part featured an Idea Pitching Competition where local entrepreneurs presented their innovative ideas, with an emphasis on addressing local challenges.
