Banglalink has made a significant move by becoming the first telecom operator in Bangladesh to fully discontinue its 3G services. This decision aims to bolster the quality and speed of its 4G services by reallocating network resources. According to a press statement, the shutdown of 3G services nationwide took place on May 5, demonstrating Banglalink’s commitment to delivering “Best 4G for all” and solidifying its role in advancing digitalization across the country.
Erik Aas, CEO of Banglalink, expressed the company’s dedication to providing seamless connectivity and innovative services to customers. By reallocating resources to 4G, Banglalink aims to elevate the customer experience to new levels and support the vision of a “Smart Bangladesh” by 2041.
