iFarmer and Winrock Join for Climate-Resilient Agri Project

Two organizations, iFarmer Limited and Winrock International, signed an agreement on May 8, 2024, at iFarmer’s headquarters. This partnership is part of the B-PEMS AugroJatra Climate Change Project, funded by the US Department of State. The collaboration aims to benefit farmers by providing climate-smart farming practices, agri-inputs, and tailored financial assistance. The agreement involves agriculture and aquaculture initiatives across 11 districts, targeting climate-resilient strategies. iFarmer will establish centers in project locations to offer services to farmers. The project also aims to combat human trafficking related to climate change effects and integrate findings into government policies. This alliance seeks to enhance formal financial inclusion for vulnerable farmer communities and build resilience against climate uncertainties.
