Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has announced the replacement of three companies in its CSE-50 index. Bank Asia, Prime Bank, and Trust Bank will replace Ifad Autos, RAK Ceramics Bangladesh, and Shahjibazar Power Company, effective from May 23, as per a CSE statement. The adjustments, made semi-annually, aim to reflect evolving market dynamics. As of December last year, CSE 50 companies contributed 57.02% to the total market capitalization of CSE. However, based on free float market capitalization, their contribution exceeded 61%. These changes signify the exchange’s commitment to ensuring the index accurately represents the market landscape.
