Robi and Banglalink, two prominent mobile network operators in Bangladesh, have signed an MOU to assess potential network resource sharing, aiming to expand 4G access nationwide. This collaboration, endorsed by the Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology during a recent event, emphasizes the telecom industry’s commitment to enhancing service quality and efficiency. Sharing network resources is recognized globally for its benefits, including promoting an asset-light business model, optimizing energy usage, and enabling investments in service quality and value-added services. The collaboration aims to evaluate technical and financial feasibility, with the ultimate goal of providing robust telecom connectivity for every citizen, supporting the Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041. Notable attendees at the event included high-ranking officials from both operators and relevant governmental bodies.
