The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is set to invest $34 million in Bangladesh’s climate-smart livestock project over five years, aiming for sustainability. Collaborating with the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute, the USDA seeks to enhance efficiency and resilience in the sector. The project targets 16 districts, benefiting over 250,000 farmers by introducing advanced technologies, improving animal health, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It aligns with Bangladesh’s climate goals and aims to increase livestock sales by $940 million.
