ACI Fertilizer’s research center utilized bio-organic fertilizers from Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), applying 500 kg per hectare, without using TSP or DAP fertilizers, and reducing urea usage by 30%. This resulted in a two maund increase in rice yield per bigha. BRRI has partnered with ACI Fertilizer for producing and marketing this bio-organic fertilizer.
A field day was held at ACI Fertilizer’s research center in Jhikargacha, Jessore, attended by agricultural extension officials and ACI Fertilizer business directors and researchers. The bio-organic fertilizer consists of vegetable residues, biochar, rock phosphate, and beneficial bacteria, aiding in nitrogen fixation, making rock phosphate accessible to plants, and providing essential plant growth hormones. ACI emphasizes that using this fertilizer not only reduces reliance on chemical fertilizers but also enhances crop yield, soil quality, and environmental sustainability.
