Australia will increase funding for the Australian Trade Agency to enhance economic engagement with Bangladesh and support its transition from least developed country status, announced Australian Foreign Minister on May 21. Additional funds will help Bangladesh align its labor laws with graduation requirements. During a press briefing with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister, it was emphasized that Australia’s commitment to the multilateral system and international rules. Besides economic cooperation, Australia will also fund technical education training colleges in Bangladesh.
