Bangladesh has started receiving 40 MW of electricity from Nepal via India’s grid, marking the first trilateral power transaction. The initiative follows an agreement signed in October between Nepal, Bangladesh, and India, aimed at improving energy security and increasing renewable energy in Bangladesh’s power mix. This development is seen as a step toward creating a South Asian electricity grid.
