Bangladesh Exports 84 Tonnes of Potatoes to Nepal

Bangladesh exported 84 tonnes of potatoes to Nepal over two days via the Banglabandha land port in Panchagarh. Shipments of 42 tonnes each were sent on Sunday and Monday at $152 per tonne, marking the start of this season’s exports. The potatoes, sourced from Thakurgaon, were delivered to Kakarbhitta, Nepal. Banglabandha primarily imports stone (95%) from India and Bhutan, alongside other items like ginger, onions, and tea-processing machinery. Bangladesh exports products such as raw jute, cotton rags, food items, and tissue paper to India and Nepal through this port.
