Japan has provided $3.2 million to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to assist approximately 500,000 flood-affected people in Noakhali, Lakshmipur, and Feni. The aid will support evacuation shelter repairs, livelihood restoration, and disaster resilience. Since September, Japan has contributed $1 million through UNHCR and UNICEF and $2 million via the Japan Platform for emergency relief in eastern Bangladesh. Additionally, Japanese organizations in Dhaka donated Tk 200,000 to the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.
