BRAC Bank has signed an agreement with WeGro Technologies Ltd to provide financing solutions for smallholder farmers throughout Bangladesh. This partnership aims to offer affordable loans to farmers, enabling them to enhance their agricultural initiatives and contribute significantly to the country’s agricultural development. WeGro Technologies, operating in 29 zones across Bangladesh since 2021, has already connected over 5,000 farmers with institutional financiers.

The signing ceremony took place at BRAC Bank’s head office in Dhaka. The collaboration is expected to expand the bank’s reach to more farmers, ensuring they have access to necessary financial resources and growth opportunities. By supporting smallholder farmers with affordable loans, the initiative seeks to empower the agricultural sector, fostering sustainability and economic growth. This partnership underscores both organizations’ commitment to advancing agricultural development and providing crucial support to farmers, helping them to improve their livelihoods and productivity.
