BRAC Bank, PROVATi3-LGED, and bKash Limited have signed a tripartite agreement to streamline digital stipend disbursement for youth training in the Teesta-Brahmaputra basin. The agreement was signed on September 11, 2024, by representatives from all three organizations.
Under this initiative, beneficiaries of the PROVATi3 project, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), will receive stipends directly through the bKash app, with BRAC Bank serving as the settlement bank. This digital approach aims to enhance efficiency and transparency, allowing underprivileged youth to access their funds anytime, anywhere.
The project targets vocational training across 25 upazilas in six districts, empowering marginalized communities and improving access to educational support. Tareq Refat Ullah Khan from BRAC Bank emphasized the commitment to financial inclusion and social benefit delivery.
