China’s M/s Yuanshun Enterprise Company Limited has revealed its plans to establish a packaging industry at the Mongla Export Processing Zone (Mongla EPZ). With a significant investment of $9.49 million, this venture is expected to generate employment for 490 Bangladeshi individuals. The newly established company, fully owned by foreign investors, will specialize in the production of various types of packaging boxes, such as paper boxes, jewellery boxes, and gift boxes, to meet the increasing demand for high-quality packaging solutions. The agreement to initiate this project was recently signed between Bepza (Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority) and M/s Yuanshun Enterprise. This strategic investment is set to contribute to the growth and development of the Mongla EPZ, while simultaneously creating valuable job opportunities for the local workforce. The signing ceremony was attended by esteemed representatives from both organizations, as well as other notable dignitaries.
