Court Convicts Three Krishi Bank Officials in Tk 85 Lakh Scam

In Khulna, a court has sentenced three officials of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, including two former managers, in a Tk85 lakh money embezzlement case in Fultola. The Khulna Metropolitan Senior Special Judge delivered the verdict after rejecting the accused’s bail pleas, as stated by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Advocate. The defendants and former managers, along with the Inspector, were implicated for allegedly embezzling Tk84.44 lakh through 32 loans between 2018 and 2020. The case was filed by Faisal Quader, deputy assistant director of ACC Integrated District Office, on 27 January 2021.
