Dhaka Bank PLC signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on November 22 to streamline the collection of holding tax and trade licence fees. Under the agreement, the bank will integrate with DSCC servers via API connectivity, enabling residents to pay taxes and fees at designated branches, sub-branches, and five newly established collection booths at Nagar Bhaban and zonal offices during the first phase. This initiative aims to simplify tax payments and enhance efficiency in fee collection.
In the next phase, Dhaka Bank plans to enable online real-time payments through its mobile app and internet banking, offering greater convenience for residents. The deal was signed at Nagar Bhaban by the managing director of Dhaka Bank and the CEO of DSCC, with senior officials from both entities present. This partnership highlights the bank’s commitment to leveraging digital technology for public service improvements.
