The government has increased fuel prices in Bangladesh due to the devaluation of the Taka against the US dollar. Effective from June 1, diesel and kerosene prices have risen by Tk 0.75 per liter, now priced at Tk 107.75 per liter. Petrol prices have increased by Tk 2.50 per liter to Tk 127 per liter, while octane prices have also risen by Tk 2.50 per liter, now priced at Tk 131 per liter. This adjustment reflects the government’s monthly practice since March 2024 of aligning fuel prices with global market trends.
