Digital Nano Loan of bKash and City Bank Already Availed Tk 175 Crore

Leading mobile financial services provider bKash has launched Bangladesh’s first-ever Digital Nano Loan in partnership with City Bank. This innovative loan service, available through the bKash app, offers collateral-free loans ranging from Tk500 to Tk20,000 to eligible users based on their credit ratings. The paperless process eliminates the need for physical visits or extensive documentation.

Since its launch in December 2021, bKash customers have availed Tk175 crore in digital nano loans, with Tk125 crore already repaid. The loans carry an annual interest rate of 9%, and repayment can be conveniently made in three installments through the bKash app. Users have praised the hassle-free experience and transparent repayment process, highlighting the loan’s importance in managing immediate financial needs. This initiative aligns with bKash’s commitment to simplifying financial transactions and promoting financial inclusion in Bangladesh.
