On 9th May, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed a downturn as the benchmark index DSEX experienced a decline of 34 points, closing at 5,690. This drop was accompanied by a notable decrease in turnover, down by 22% compared to the previous session. This means the stock market is now facing back to back bearish trend. Among the stocks traded, 94 advanced, 253 declined, and 50 remained unchanged, reflecting a mixed performance across the market. The total turnover at the DSE amounted to Tk869 crore, down from Tk1,108 crore recorded earlier.
