The 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC was held virtually on June 9, chaired by the chairman of the Board of Directors. Shareholders approved a 35% dividend for 2023, split evenly between cash and stock dividends.The AGM reviewed and approved the Audited Financial Statements for the year ending December 31, 2023. The bank’s total assets grew by 6.9% to Taka 593,883.1 million, with loans and advances increasing by 13.2% to Taka 412,073.0 million. Deposits rose by 7.9% to Taka 472,590.1 million. Profit before tax was Taka 11,450.1 million, and profit after tax was Taka 8,017.4 million, reflecting significant growth from the previous year. Earnings per share increased to Taka 10.72 from Taka 7.57 in 2022. The bank’s Capital to Risk-weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) stood at 16.16%, above the required 12.50%.
