Dutch-Bangla Bank, a prominent private sector lender, experienced a 34% drop in year-on-year profit in Q2 2024, with net profit falling to Tk75.48 crore from Tk115 crore in the same period of 2023. The bank’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk0.86, and its net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk55.56.
Despite the Q2 downturn, the bank reported a slight profit increase in Q1 2024, rising to Tk128 crore from Tk125 crore in Q1 2023. For the first half of 2024, Dutch-Bangla Bank’s profit declined by 15%, totaling Tk203.63 crore compared to Tk240 crore in the same period last year. Notably, the bank’s net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) surged to Tk42.60 from Tk20.04 year-on-year.
