Many have been forced to undergo financial difficulty because their incomes are based on commission. Estimated losses in the billions have also been incurred by the e-commerce sector as a whole. Small businesses have been particularly badly impacted, especially those who use social media networks. To make up for these losses, the business is looking to the government for assistance.
