Eastern Cables Limited, a listed engineering sector company, has reported a net profit in the first three quarters (July-March) of the current financial year 2022-23, along with a significant increase in sales. The unaudited financial report of the company for the third quarter (January-March) shows that its sales have increased by approximately 59% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The net income of Eastern Cables during the first three quarters of the current financial year was Tk 41.63 crore, a significant increase from Tk 26.20 crore in the same period of the previous financial year. The company’s net profit after tax was Tk 1 crore 15 lakh, compared to a net loss of Tk 5 crore 63 lakh in the same period of the previous year. The earnings per share (EPS) for the three quarters was 44 paise, compared to a loss per share of 213 paise in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
