Local garlic and onion prices in Hili, Dinajpur, dropped by Tk 40 to Tk 20 per kg over two days due to increased supply. Garlic decreased from Tk 160 to Tk 120 per kg, and onion dropped from Tk 90 to Tk 70 per kg. Conversely, domestic ginger surged by Tk 40 to Tk 180 per kg. Wholesalers and retailers noted stable prices for onion and garlic during Ramadan. Retailers are now selling onions bought at Tk 67 per kg for Tk 70, compared to Tk 87 per kg previously. Similarly, garlic, bought at Tk 159 per kg, is now sold at Tk 120 per kg. Ginger, previously at Tk 140 per kg, rose to Tk 180 per kg. Market prices fluctuate daily, allowing retailers to make slight profits.
