Gas supply shortages were particularly acute in peak hours in different areas, causing difficulties for residents in cooking meals. The country’s natural gas output, including regasified imported LNG, is approximately 2,907.5 mmcfd. Demand stands at around 2,500 mmcfd, leading to a demand-supply mismatch. The shortage has been exacerbated by a worldwide energy crisis triggered by the Russia-Ukraine war. Consumers are voicing dissatisfaction and seeking better services, and the authorities are urged to address the issues promptly.
