Germany will invest €1 billion in Bangladesh over the next decade to support renewable energy initiatives, with an initial €15 million allocated for this year. The announcement came after a meeting between the Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Adviser and the German Ambassador to Bangladesh. The collaboration aims to enhance knowledge exchange and cooperation among the private sector, research institutions, and civil society. It will also engage various stakeholders, including ethnic minorities, women, and youth, in climate-related efforts. Both parties discussed further cooperation on environmental protection, river cleaning, and technology transfer.
