The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced a further increase in gold prices. Effective from 17th October, the new rate will be at Tk 100,543 per bhori, a rise of Tk 1,166 or 1.17% from the existing Tk 99,377.
This adjustment comes just four days after a 2.4% increase due to the escalating rates of pure gold in the local market. The association cited a continuous uptrend in pure gold prices. Notably, one bhori is equivalent to 11.664 grams. This change follows a recent reduction in gold prices by Bajus over three phases at the end of month, which had temporarily brought rates below Tk 100,000.
