The interim government has appointed Fahmida Khatun, executive director of the Centre for Policy Dialogue, as a director on the Bangladesh Bank board for a three-year term. This follows the recent appointment of Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, a professor from the University of Dhaka’s Development Studies department, to the board. Titumir replaced Md Nazrul Huda, who was appointed chairman of Rupali Bank last month.
