The government has approved, in principle, the establishment of a Ground Mounted Solar PV project with a capacity of 100-200MW at the National Special Economic Zone (NSEZ) under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. This decision was made during the 10th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs, held at the Bangladesh Secretariat. The meeting, chaired by Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, reviewed the proposal, which was presented by the Chief Adviser’s Office. The initiative aims to enhance renewable energy capacity and promote sustainable development within the NSEZ.
