The Bangladesh government has approved the procurement of 1.30 lakh metric tons of fertilizer to meet the country’s growing demand. The Ministry of Industries’ Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) will procure 30,000 MTs of bulk granular urea fertilizer from Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Agriculture’s Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) will procure 30,000 MTs of MPO fertilizer from Russia, 40,000 MTs of DAP fertilizer from Morocco, and 30,000 MTs of TSP fertilizer from Morocco. These procurements are crucial for ensuring adequate fertilizer supply to the agricultural sector.
