The government of Bangladesh has reduced the price of a 12kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk30, making the new price Tk1,363, down from Tk1,393. In addition, the price of autogas has been fixed at Tk62.53 per litre at the consumer level. Previously, on May 2, the price of a 12kg cylinder was reduced by Tk49 from Tk1,442 to Tk1,393. This reduction in LPG prices is due to a decrease in the prices of Saudi CP (contract price) in the local market. Bangladeshi LPG operators usually import their products from the Middle East market based on Saudi CP.
