The Government of Bangladesh has approved the procurement of various energy resources to ensure a stable supply. The Energy and Mineral Resources Division will procure one cargo of LNG from Vitol Asia Pte Ltd at a cost of approximately Tk708.55 crore.
Additionally, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) will purchase 6 lakh tonnes of Murban crude oil from ADNOC and 7 lakh tonnes of Arabian Light Crude oil from Saudi Aramco for the year 2025. To meet the country’s refined fuel oil needs for the first half of 2025, the government has approved the procurement of refined oil packages A, B, C, D, and E from various international suppliers. These procurements are crucial for maintaining energy security and meeting the growing energy demands of the country.
