IDCOL Tk70 Crore Dividend Boost

Infrastructure Development Company (IDCOL) has handed over a dividend of Tk70 crore to the government, stemming from its net profit for the previous financial year 2022. This marks an increase from the Tk50 crore dividend paid in the preceding year. The Secretary of the Economic Relations Department and Chairman of IDCOL, presented the dividend check to Finance Minister, underlining IDCOL’s role in financing Bangladesh’s infrastructure, energy, and renewable energy sectors. In FY 2022, IDCOL recorded a profit before tax and provisions amounting to Tk698.79 crore. The company’s 26th Annual General Meeting announced a total of Tk120 crore in dividends for FY 2022, comprising Tk70 crore in cash dividends to the government and Tk50 crore for augmenting the company’s paid-up capital to Tk838 crore from the existing Tk788 crore through bonus shares issuance.
