The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Danish International Development Agency (Danida) have launched the Bangladesh Climate Advisory Partnership (B-CAP) to stimulate private investments in climate-smart solutions. With an initial funding of $5.3 million, the initiative aims to leverage $50 million in green investments by 2027, focusing on manufacturing and green finance sectors. B-CAP’s goals include promoting sustainable practices, enhancing green finance mechanisms, and ensuring gender inclusivity. This collaboration expands on the successful Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) program, extending climate advisory services across Bangladesh’s industries. The initiative underscores commitments to sustainable development and climate resilience, supported by Danida’s global poverty alleviation efforts and IFC’s expertise in private sector development.
