Expatriates can now access the Bangladeshi government helpline, 333, from abroad through the Imo instant messaging app. Launched on October 25, the Imo channel provides a seamless connection to the ‘Smart 333’ program inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sheikh Russel Day.
This initiative, part of ten Ministry of ICT projects, offers various government services such as social issue resolution, doctor consultations, land services, and cybersecurity assistance. The helpline, pivotal during the pandemic, now extends its accessibility to expatriate Bangladeshis worldwide, allowing free access to government services. The move aligns with the government’s Digital Bangladesh vision, enhancing convenience for citizens and facilitating global outreach for expatriates.
