Istamarina Refuelling Station Ltd, a subsidiary of Knit Plus Limited, is investing $2.97 million to establish a modern refuelling station in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar, Bangladesh’s largest industrial city. The station will offer CNG, LPG, octane, petrol, and diesel, along with additional amenities such as a car-washing facility, restaurant, and shopping mall.

The managing director of Knit Plus Limited, highlighted the inclusion of a battery charging system for electric vehicles. The project is expected to create employment for approximately 50 individuals. The development aligns with the efforts of Beza (Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority) to create an investment-friendly environment in Bangladesh. Beza aims to establish 100 economic zones across the country by 2041, generating employment opportunities for one crore people and facilitating an annual export value of $40 billion from these zones. The ongoing construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar contributes to the growth of the overall industrial and economic landscape in South Asia.
