Japan MoUs Boost Bilateral Trade and Investment

Bangladesh and Japan signed three MoUs to boost bilateral trade and investment. The first MoU between Bangladesh Special Economic Zone Ltd (BSEZ Ltd) and Bangladesh-Japan joint venture company, IRIS Co Ltd, grants land purchase rights within BSEZ phase 2. The second MoU, also with BSEZ Ltd, aims to provide education opportunities to schoolgoing children near BSEZ areas through Brac Kumon Ltd. The third MoU, signed by the commerce ministry and Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro), focuses on trade information exchange and capacity enhancement for officials. The agreements were finalized at a summit in Dhaka, organized by Jetro, Bida, and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Dignitaries from both nations attended the event, addressing economic relations for the future.
