Japan is seeking to hire more skilled workers from Bangladesh, particularly for sectors like caregiving and agriculture. Following a meeting with the Japanese ambassador, it was emphasized that Japan needs foreign workers and is interested in employing Bangladeshi manpower. Key to securing these jobs is proficiency in the Japanese language, a requirement highlighted by the ambassador. Bangladesh is eager to meet this demand, training workers in both language and technical skills. Modern equipment is being installed in technical training centers as per the Prime Minister’s directives, and Bangladesh has requested Japan’s support in enhancing language skills of job seekers. Currently, around 600 Bangladeshi technical interns are working in Japan.
