In response to the surge in pure gold prices, jewelers in Bangladesh have decided to increase the prices of pure gold by Tk 1,749 per bhori for the local market. Effective from 9 June, each bhori, equivalent to 11.664 grams of 22-carat gold, will be sold at Tk 98,444, according to the latest rates announced by the standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jewellers Samity. The decision was communicated through a press release by Bajus, a prominent jewelry association. This adjustment in gold prices reflects the current market conditions and the impact of rising global gold prices.
