Jin Air, a subsidiary of the Korean Air group, is exploring the expansion of its flight operations by expressing interest in establishing regular direct scheduled flights between Bangladesh and South Korea. The South Korean airline has previously operated 121 direct chartered flights between Dhaka and Incheon in the last three years. Recognizing the market potential, Jin Air aims to capitalize on the strong economic ties between Bangladesh and South Korea, with South Korea being a significant foreign investor in Bangladesh. Additionally, the rising demand for foreign workers in South Korea adds to the prospects of increased air travel between the two nations.
