LGED Achieves Milestone with Climate Resilient Masterplan

The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) has achieved a significant milestone in sustainable urban development with the introduction of the ‘Climate Resilient Inclusive Urban Masterplan (CRIUMP)’. Developed under the Climate Resilient Inclusive Smart Cities (CRISC) Project, this master planning approach enhances cities’ adaptability, climate resilience, and inclusivity. The CRISC Project, jointly implemented by LGED and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), is instrumental in advancing urban climate resilience in Bangladesh. The project’s closing event celebrated the launch of CRIUMP and featured workshops on climate-resilient urban planning, the institutionalization of the model Development Project Proposals, and tools for city budgets and digital platforms for sustainable knowledge management.
