The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced a significant reduction in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the month of July. The price has been slashed by Tk6.27 per kg, bringing it down to Tk83.21 from Tk89.48 in June 2023. This follows a previous decrease in May, where the price dropped by Tk19.69 per kg. The price reduction also applies to a 12kg LPG cylinder, which is now available at Tk999 instead of Tk1,074, offering a saving of Tk75 for retail consumers. Moreover, the price of “autogas” used for motor vehicles has also decreased to Tk46.59 per litre from Tk50.09, a reduction of Tk3.5 per litre. These adjustments in LPG prices aim to benefit both consumers and businesses in Bangladesh.
